Personalised online tarot reading
A personalised online tarot reading is a written spread built around the cards drawn for you and the question you actually ask. Here is how it works at Velotit, how to word your question well, and what to expect from the result.
How it works, step by step
Everything starts on the spread page. You choose the kind of spread you want, write your question and, if you like, add a little context: what is happening, which options you have in front of you, how long the matter has been weighing on you. Your consultation is prepared from those details.
Next, the code shuffles the full 78-card Rider-Waite-Smith deck and deals the cards your spread needs, each into its own position. The reading is written from those cards, using the traditional meaning of each one in its place and what you have told us. Within seconds you receive your written reading, ready to take in at your own pace.
Your reading is saved in your private area. You can reread it whenever you like, compare it with what unfolds, and come back to it if the question is still alive a few weeks later.
Which spreads you can choose
Velotit offers several spreads, each with a fixed number of positions. That structure is set in advance, so you know what you will receive before you press the button.
If you are not sure where to begin, try the free three-card spread on our site: past, present and future, at no cost. If your question has many layers, the Celtic Cross gives you more room to unfold them.
- Yes or no: 1 card, for closed questions answered with yes, no or maybe.
- Love tarot: 5 cards, for relationships, feelings and what lies behind them.
- Couple compatibility: a spread built for two people and the relationship between them.
- Celtic Cross: 10 cards, the most complete spread, with each position devoted to one aspect of the situation.
How to word a good question
A good question is specific, honest and about your own situation. The clearer you phrase it, the more useful the reading becomes, because the cards are interpreted in relation to what you ask.
Compare two wordings. “What is going to happen to my life?” is far too broad for any spread. “What should I weigh before accepting the move to another city this autumn?” has a theme, a timeframe and a decision on the table.
- Speak about yourself and what you can do, not about what other people will do.
- Ask about one matter at a time, not your whole life at once.
- Add a brief context: what has happened and what is holding you back.
- Avoid questions that demand exact medical, legal or financial certainty.
How it differs from phone psychics and free one-card sites
Many people arrive at online tarot after trying a phone line. The main difference is the format. A phone consultation usually depends on how long the call lasts, with per-minute charges that make it hard to know what the conversation will cost by the end, and on whether the person on the other end is free at that moment.
A personalised written reading has no calls and no stopwatch. You write at your own pace, receive the text within seconds and can read it as many times as you wish. At Velotit readings are included in the Velo Pass, with a 4-day trial and 50 readings a month.
Free one-card sites are a different thing. They serve a quick curiosity, but they give a generic meaning without your question or your context. A personalised reading starts from what you tell us and relates it to the cards that came up in your spread.
What a tarot reading cannot promise
Tarot is a symbolic tool with centuries of tradition behind it. It helps you order your thoughts, look at a situation from another angle and think before you decide. It is not a prediction and does not guarantee events, and it does not replace a doctor, a lawyer or a financial adviser.
For that reason we ask you to treat the reading as a starting point for reflection. If a card unsettles you, ask yourself what it is pointing to, not only whether it will come true.
Frequently asked questions
What exactly do I receive after ordering a spread?
You receive a written reading that describes each card in its position and connects it to your question and your context. It arrives within seconds and is saved in your private area, where you can reread it whenever you like.
Do I need to call or wait for someone?
No. Everything is done in writing on the website. There are no calls, no appointment at a set time and no clock running while you write. The reading appears as soon as it is ready, usually within seconds.
How many cards does each spread use?
Yes or no uses 1 card, love tarot 5 and the Celtic Cross 10. Couple compatibility has its own layout. Each position has a fixed role within the spread, and the reading follows that order.
Can I repeat the same question if I am not happy with the answer?
You can, but traditional practice advises against asking the same thing again and again in the hope of a different result. It is better to reword the question more precisely, or to let the reading settle for a few days before you raise it again.
