AI Tarot Reading
At Velotit, randomness draws the cards and an AI, Claude, by Anthropic, writes the interpretation. Here is a plain explanation of what each part does, and does not do.
Who draws the cards, and who writes
The code shuffles the full 78-card deck and draws at random whichever cards a given spread needs. No AI touches that part: it is a genuine shuffle, different every time.
Once the cards are drawn, Claude, the AI model built by Anthropic, comes in. It does not choose which card appears: it writes the interpretation from the traditional meaning of each card in its position, your question, and the context you give us.
Each spread has fixed positions
Every service has a fixed set of positions, set up before your particular reading exists. The love tarot spread uses 5 cards, the Celtic Cross uses 10, and yes or no uses a single card.
The AI does not invent new positions or change how many cards are drawn: it interprets each card according to the role it plays within that already fixed structure.
- Yes or no: 1 position.
- Love tarot: 5 positions.
- Celtic Cross: 10 positions.
What it can do, and what it cannot
The AI can read a card in its position and weave an interpretation coherent with your question, in careful language. What it cannot do is know your future: it has no access to data about what will actually happen to you.
It also does not remember your other readings, except the ones you save and revisit yourself in your private area. And it does not replace a health, money or legal professional: for that kind of question, seek someone qualified.
How it differs from a random phrase generator, and from a human tarot reader
A random phrase generator does not read cards at all: it strings together pleasant words with no real connection to what was drawn. Here the card leads: the AI writes from it, not the other way round.
Compared with a human reader, the difference is the kind of knowledge involved: a person brings intuition and experience built up across other consultations; the AI brings knowledge of each card's traditional meaning, applied quickly and consistently to your specific question.
Privacy: what happens to your data
Your data is used to write your reading and stays in your private area. It is not used to train AI models.
Frequently asked questions
Does the AI choose which card I get?
No. The code shuffles and draws the card or cards at random before the AI is involved at all. The AI only interprets what has already been drawn; it does not decide the outcome.
Does Claude remember my past readings?
Only if you save them and revisit them yourself in your private area. There is no automatic memory between separate readings unless you bring the earlier context into the conversation yourself.
Can I rely on the reading for an important health or money decision?
No. This is entertainment and symbolic tradition, not professional advice. For health, money or legal decisions, always consult someone qualified, even if the reading gives you something to reflect on first.
Is my data used to train the AI?
No. Your data is used to write your reading and stays in your private area; it is not used to train models of any kind, whether built by Velotit or by anyone else.
