Tarot describes tendencies, not certainties
A tarot reading reflects the state of energies at the moment of the consultation. It is not a photograph of a fixed future — it is closer to a weather forecast than a deterministic prophecy. If conditions change, the tendency changes. That is why a reading that pointed to a reunion in August may not materialize if, by September, you or the other person made different choices.
What to review when a spread made no sense
Before concluding the reading failed, check three things: first, whether the question was concrete enough (vague questions produce vague answers); second, whether there was a card you did not understand at the time that now makes sense; third, whether the timeframe was realistic. Many readings that seem wrong are actually correct readings with a longer timeline than expected.
The role of free will in outcomes
Tarot does not cancel free will — it maps it. If a reading showed a possible reconciliation and that reconciliation did not happen, it is likely that one of the parties made a decision that changed the course. That is not a failure of the tarot: it is exactly how it works. The reading did not promise an outcome; it showed a probable path given the state of things at that moment.
When it makes sense to book another reading
Booking a new reading makes sense when circumstances have changed significantly: an important decision, several months passing, or an unexpected turn of events. It does not make sense to repeat the same question a week later hoping for a different answer. Tarot responds to what is — not to what you want to hear.
